PASSIONFLOWER increases levels of a chemical called gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain. GABA lowers the activity of some brain cells, making you feel more relaxed.
CHAMOMILE mild tranquillizer and sleep-inducer. Sedative effects may be due to the flavonoid, apigenin that binds to benzodiazepine receptors in the brain.
HOPS contains xanthohumol which enhances sleep by increasing the GABA activity through the regulation of GABAA receptors. Decreases nocturnal activity in the circadian activity rhythm.
LEMON BALM facilitates sleep by encouraging relaxation and decreasing stress and anxiety.
BLUE VERVAIN is a mild sedative that reduces the amount of time it takes to fall asleep.
ASHAWAGANDHA improves sleep induction and quality of sleep.
VALERIAN ROOT helps people fall asleep faster, improve their sleep quality, and spend more time in a deep sleep.
